In a fast changing, interactive and inter-connected world by virtue of the information revolution and great developments in the communication technology and knowledge, and with the growing needs of the systematic and scientific research and information-based science and knowledge required to explain the events and phenomena and to contribute to the goals of the political, economic and social developments, the idea behind the establishment of Sam Center for Consultations and Strategic Studies (whose overall vision is embodied in its motto “Serving Development through Knowledge”) is regarded as a contribution to the field of development along with other similar scientific and research centers in Yemeni as well as Arab communities.
The contribution of the Center will be geared towards the employment of the scientific research methodology-based knowledge to serve the achievement of the sustainable development goals, playing a human and national role to assist researchers and interested persons in making available information and findings on a wide range of issues and phenomena based on scientific researches and in-depth studies. It will also make the findings of field surveys and public opinion polls accessible on the basis of well-established scientific basis, providing a strategic perspective to analyze the phenomena, issues and problems, and to find solutions accordingly.
The Center shall also offer consultations on various political and economic developments and changes, and development projects that serve researchers, interested persons, decision-makers, development and economic institutions in Yemeni and Arab communities by means of drawing on the experiences and knowledge of a group of academics, specialized researchers, talents, and personalities that have accumulative strategic visions in various life-based disciplines. Moreover, the Center shall pay much more attention to the aspects of training and qualification via helping the respective national cadres, employing their potentials and capabilities so as to serve the regional and national development goals and to enhance the intellectual, cultural, and human communication in the various fields of knowledge and life.
